NFPA 130:載客軌道車輛的系統要求

由于電纜的火焰蔓延速度及燃燒的破壞長度、煙密度及燃燒所產生的有害毒性氣體，對人員的生命逃生起到非常重要的影響。電纜的測試一般通過這些方面來評估。

NFPA130電纜防火阻燃測試關注于如下方面：

UL 1585, AND/UL: 電線電纜的火焰蔓延高度測試，電纜的最大破壞高度不超過2.44m

ASTM E 662:煙密度的測試, Ds(4) ≤200 (in the flaming mode) ,Ds(4) ≤75 (in the nonflaming mode)
IEC 60332-11:線路完整性測試, Be capable of having 15 minute circuit integrity
BSS7239:毒性的分析與測試,分析燃燒產生的8種有害氣體的量.
Bombarrier SMP 800-C:毒性的分析與測試,分析燃燒產生的8種有害氣體的量.
