中空玻璃有雙層和多層之分。可以根據要求選用各種不同性能的玻璃原片，如普通平板玻璃、壓花玻璃、彩色玻璃、夾絲玻璃等與邊框（金屬框架或玻璃條等）經膠接、焊接或熔結而制成。中空玻璃主要用于需要采暖、空調、防止噪聲或結露以及需要無直射陽光和特殊光的建筑物上。 
Insulated glass is divided into double layers glass and multi-layers glass,which are comb-ined with frame (metal framework or glass strip etc.)by glue,welding or sintering process. Different property glass may be selected according to requirement,such as:common plate glass, figured glass,stained glass,wire glass etc.Hollow glass is mainly used in buildings with demand on heating,air conditioning,preventing noise or dew,as well as the buildings preventing direct sunlight and special light.
