無刷無環起動器是一種克服了繞線式異步電動機裝有滑環、碳刷和復雜的起動裝置等缺點，而保留了繞線電機起動電流小，起動轉矩大等優點的起動設備。凡原來采用電阻起動器、電抗器、頻敏變阻器、液體變阻起動器、軟起動器起動的 JR、JZR、YR、YZR 三相繞線轉子交流異步電動機 (變速、裝有進相機的除外）均可選用“無刷無環起動器”來更新換代。
